As of 1 January 2015, the Czech Republic joined the group of countries that have special laws dealing with cybersecurity. It aims to unify the rules of procedure in the event of security incidents and increase protection. In the event of non-compliance with the regulation, companies can be fined up to CZK 100,000. The Cybersecurity Act No. 181/2014 Sb. entered into force in January 2015. Both public and private organizations must comply with it.
